Knee Replacement · Beijing, 2025

My US orthopedic surgeon quoted $47,000. I paid $9,200 total — including flights, hotel, and the coordination fee. Same implant brand (Zimmer), same procedure, same post-op protocol. I was walking with a cane in 5 days. Back home in 12. My US doctor reviewed my imaging and said, ‘Whoever did this did excellent work.’

Spinal Fusion · Shanghai, 2025

Three US quotes ranged $68,000–$85,000. With OrientHealthLink I paid $16,500 all-in for a two-level lumbar fusion at one of China’s top spine centers. The surgeon had performed over 3,000 fusions. My six-month MRI showed textbook fusion. I’m back to hiking.

Cardiac Stent · Beijing, 2025

I was told I needed a stent. US estimate: $42,000. I flew to Beijing, had the procedure at a hospital that does 5,000+ catheterizations a year, and paid $7,800 total. The cardiologist spent 45 minutes explaining everything to me through the interpreter. In the US, I got 10 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Are the surgeons board-certified? What are their qualifications?

Yes. Every surgeon we work with holds a senior attending or professor-level position at a top-tier public hospital. Most have 15–30+ years of experience and have trained or published internationally. We provide full surgeon credentials before you commit.

What implant brands are used? Are they the same as in the US?

China’s top hospitals use the same FDA-approved implant brands available in the US — Zimmer Biomet, Stryker, Medtronic, DePuy Synthes, and others. You can request a specific brand and we’ll confirm availability before your trip.

What happens if there are complications after I return home?

We coordinate remote follow-up with your Chinese surgeon via video call, translate all medical records for your local doctor, and assist in arranging revision surgery in China if needed — at a preferential rate. Your safety net doesn’t end when your flight lands.
